JOHN SUNDBY
John started selling real estate with Rossum & Neal in 1966, a company he has been with for 40 years because of its outstanding tradition of excellence and integrity. It is the oldest real estate firm in Rapid City. In 1979, John was named Realtor of the Year by his peers. Besides CRS and GRI certifications, John holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from St. Olaf College, and was also a US Air Force helicopter pilot. He helped found the helicopter rides over Mount Rushmore in Keystone, SD in 1961 and continues to be active in Barbershop Chorus, Rotary Club, photography and church choir. John loves to show homes and has a never ending amount of patience and understanding of our client's needs.
KATHY SUNDBY
Kathy joined her husband in 1976 and together they became the top-producing team in Rapid City. They have specialized in higher-priced, executive homes and in 1997 they had 10 of the largest 11 home sales in the Multiple Listing Service. Kathy holds a Master's Degree in Counseling and also has her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from South Dakota State University. She also has her CRS and GRI certifications. Kathy has served on the Boards of the United Way, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Rotary Club, church and the Library Foundation. Both John and Kathy have Broker's Licenses. Kathy's the detail person and constantly communicates with our Buyers and Sellers. She enjoys negotiating offers and following up on home inspections, appraisals, closings, etc. She keeps up our website after John takes the great photos.
BOBBY SUNDBY
Bobby, 39, joined his parents in real estate in 1993 after graduating magna cum laude from Augustana College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Hospital Administration. Bob's easy going disposition and personable way with people have made him a popular Realtor in Rapid City. Bobby co-developed the Evergreen Condominiums (see button on home page). He also has considerable experience in purchasing, selling and operating multifamily properties/apartments. His land and commercial expertise have earned him a valuable place on the SUN-BEE team. Bob spends his free time playing guitar and drums for a variety of bands. He volunteers regularly at the Black Hills Childrens Home teaching guitar. In 2008 Bobby coordinated the purchase of Rushmore Cave as an investor with three other partners. He is a Nationally Certified Ski Instructor. Bobby's wife, Genae, is a commercial real estate appraiser with Simpson and Associates. Their children are Parker, 9, and Sammi, 6. Bobby, John and Kathy have much information to share about cultural, recreational and children's activities in the great town of Rapid City and the Black Hills of South Dakota.
JOHNNY SUNDBY
Johnny, 39, joined his parents in 1996 after shooting photos for the Rapid City Journal for five years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Business Administration degree from Augustana College. His computer, journalism and photography skills have become an integral part of the SUN-BEE marketing strategies. Johnny's real estate license is on inactive status as he has opened his new photo gallery and studio. He has published three photography books including "In God's Country," with his father. His hobbies include rock climbing, skiing, playing guitar and carpentry. Johnny sings and plays guitar with the Lonely Rangers. His photography website is www.johnnysundby.com.
